Love the appetizers. The mussels were not tough. Had them in red sauce. Deliciiosa! Had the stacked eggplant. Yummy. Servicer was engaging and friendly.

Great food ! Our whiter(red headed ) was so nice and she took the time to explain the dishes and the daily specials. The owner of the place shook our hand and greet us when we walked in . We really enjoyed the food and we are definitely coming back !!

Wonderful dinner! I had heard about this restaurant from several friends who love the homemade pasta so I decided to try it for myself. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but the building was a very plain building with a small parking lot in the back. We had early reservations so it was no problem. From the back, there are two entrances - one for the restaurant and one for the meat market. We started with the restaurant. Upon walking in, we were greeted by a lovely woman who seated us and was also our server. I didn't catch her name but she did everything she could to make our evening wonderful - including asking the chef to make a dish of items that I wanted but that combination wasn't on the menu! We started with drinks and appetizers - we had the figs wrapped in bacon and the meatballs. Delicious. My entree was a concoction of linguini, clams and muscles with a spicy red sauce - you won't find that on the menu but I loved it. One friend had the salmon which looked delicious (large portion) and the other friend had the gnocchi. Of course we had to have dessert - the mousse was delicious as was the cookie with some kind of chocolate cream inside and the pistachio ice cream. After eating, we went to the other side of the building to the store and meat market. They have some wonderful things to purchase and take home. Pastas, cheeses, meats, seasonings, etc. Tonight, the attendant was serving samples of cheese - my friend tried it and loved it so she was given a block to take home for free! Wow -- - take home gifts :) The menu has lots of wonderful items - I'll be back to try some more! My only criticism is that the tables were a little small - - maybe even too close together. It felt cramped and we even had to move our chairs a time or two to let people in or out of their table.

So when I'm looking for a bowl of fresh pasta DI Farina is the place go. But it is much more than that. The service is always good and professional and the restaurant is nicely appointed. The bar area was re-done last year or two and really enhances the look. We had the short rib stuffed home made ravioli and they were definitely worth going back for as was the rib chop with risotto. They have a carefully selected somewhat limited wine list with bottles at all price points. The one glaring negative is that all the wine is served in the same white wine style universal glass. I ordered a nice Montepulciano D' Abruzzo red at $80 plus and was disappointed that they did not have appropriate large bowl red wine glasses for enhanced aeration. I was informed that those type glasses "break too easily ". Would you serve champagne in a coffee cup? An occasional broken glass is the cost of doing business. I like the place and will definitely go back, but perhaps I might bring my own glass.

I've been passing by this local place for months and finally decided as a new california to try restaurant near me. This place is pleasantly decorated with nice white.Finishing simple tables, a simple bar.And what seems like a traditional Italian food?Personally I wouldn't know but i'm now finding out. The order amounts are nice and small. Not the typical American too much on your plate scenario so that you can sit back.Eat ask for dessert and still feel full but not bloated. I highly recommend that salmon is properly cooked. However, as a big guy, I probably could eat too.But the whole idea is not too. It's to come back. My guest's pasta sauce was very nice.It wasn't heavy. It was complimentary to the pasta and it's probably what I will order Next time when I go back. This place is just far enough away from the water so that there's not a regular amount of tourist that comes there. Most traffic seems local. They have a valley service when they are full and it's always a good opportunity to get what you want when you want with enough seating if you take the time to reserve a seat. I recommend this local restaurant for the food. The next I will review their meat cuts.

Local and hidden gem - right on Atlantic Blvd! I can't tell you the number of times I have driven past Di Farina Pasta, (I'll give you a hint, 3 times a day since they've opened) and I am even more sad for myself at how long I have been missing out. The restaurant is unassuming - sitting right on Atlantic Blvd a block west of Federal Highway. A valet is out front ($7 at time of posting) which is perfect as the location doesn't have a traditional parking lot entrance. (There may be additional parking options, but we chose to valet). The restaurant is quaint, with 20-30 tables total and a handful of bar seating. It reminds me somewhat of restaurants in NY (a large dining room by NY standards). The staff were all very welcoming and pleasant, with a lovely "buonasera" greeting as you walk in! We opted for an early dinner so basically had the entire staff to ourselves for most of our meal. We started with the Grilled Octopus and the Salmon Carpaccio special. The grilled octopus was topped with a delicious herby sauce and set upon crispy potatoes. The octopus was deliciously tender and lightly charred, spectacular. The salmon carpaccio was 2 day marinated with beet and lemon. A delicious and light start to our meal; refreshing and surprising! We chose the lamb shank special and the Asiago truffle gnocchi as our entrees. The lamb shank was braised and semi-reminiscent of a Sunday roast (flavor wise) and incredibly fall off the bone succulent. The parppadelle soaked up the delicious sauce/juices making it the perfect side. This is a home run and something I hope they have when I come again! The gnocchi... oh baby the gnocchi. Soft, melt in your mouth pillows of ricotta goodness, bathing in the most light Asiago sauce that packed a kick of truffle. Not over-powering, but a perfect balance. Somehow, we managed some room for dessert and went with the cannolis and an espresso for myself! I love a good cannoli and let me tell you.. these were good. The shell was crisp and delicate and the filling was such a balance of not too "cheesy" and not too sweet. A balance most cannolis can only dream of. Seriously, THIS is what a cannoli should be. Take notes people. After dinner and dessert we wandered over to the meat shop which is stocked full of meats, groceries, and a full fresh (make at home) pasta bar! A must shop for prime meats! Overall, a reservation at Di Farina is bound to impress. The quaint and cost atmosphere and the absolutely delicious menu options make this restaurant a true star of South Florida dining options!

Di Farina's was easy to find on busy Atlantic Ave with parking out back. The large restaurant had a big bar, posters of pasta & fresh moss on the walls. Rocco, our waiter was knowledgeable & on point. The extensive menu was tantalizing & today's specials were mouth watering. Warm rolls with blue cheese butter came out quickly. We started by sharing an antipasto & as an entree shared a meat lasagna. We ended our shared lunch with a delicious tiramisu. After lunch we went next door to purchase fresh pastas & meats.

If you're looking for delicious, fresh Italian cuisine Di Farina is the place. We started with the Grilled Octopus which was super tender and grilled to perfection. This is a great starter dish to share because it was also served with a nice compliment of roasted potatoes and sautéed kale. For the main course we ordered Black Seafood Linguine. This dish has so much flavor! The black ink linguini was topped with shrimp, mussels, a lobster tail, and served with a garlic, lobster sauce. Wow! This is a heavenly combination that any seafood lover would enjoy. We felt as if we were the only ones being taken care of because the staff was so attentive. Thank you to Marcello and staff for making our experience one we will remember!

This is your next date night restaurant or grab your girlfriends to treat yourselves to a fancy night out. The atmosphere of the restaurant is intimate and cozy. The servers were friendly and the food was excellent. I highly recommended the ricotta gnocchi, I saw that mentioned a lot in others reviews and it is absolutely heavenly. A meal here can get pretty expensive depending on how you order but there are reasonably priced meals as well for those who want to have a decadent meal without breaking the bank. Will be coming back again!

Stopped by Di Farina Pasta for lunch. I was given a warm greeting upon entrée. Di Farina Pasta is not only a restaurant, but an Italian market as well loaded with all kinds of pastas and oils. But not only that, it has a meat section too. The restaurant is a large and open area having a sort of nice airy feeling about it. Their menu is immense with every offering an Italian-loving palate might desire, with some on the more unique side like a WAGYU STEAK MILANESE or SQUID INK LOBSTER AGNOLOTTI. Then, a great wine list too with one of my Italian favorites, Montepulciano d'Abruzzo and Amarone della Valpolicella DOC Parol Vin. But, as this was just a quick lunch, I had their EGGPLANT PARMIGGIANA MEDALLIONS consisting of breaded eggplant rounds stacked with layers of homemade tomato sauce and melted mozzarella. Which was the best, most tasty eggplant parm ever. Meanwhile, my beloved had one of their beef and one of their ham and cheese empanadas which he found to be excellent.
